🙌 The Power of Company Culture and Hiring for a Cultural Add
Company culture often goes unnoticed, yet it is a crucial part of an organization’s DNA, acting as the glue that bonds employees, promotes shared values, boosts employee engagement, and fosters a sense of belonging.
Culture is relevant in every work environment. It mattered when we were working from offices, and its importance remains steadfast whether we now operate remotely or in a hybrid workplace. Culture plays a significant role in employee growth and influences their decisions to join, stay, or leave the company.
To that extent, employee retention and company culture have a self-sustaining relationship. The stronger your culture is, the less likely your employees are to leave. And the longer your employees stick around, the stronger your culture will become. This underscores the critical need for leadership to keep a pulse on company culture and take corrective actions when necessary.
Though maintaining a robust company culture can be challenging in remote or hybrid environments, it is NOT impossible. With the right strategies, businesses can create a thriving culture that not only supports productivity and job satisfaction but also attracts a diverse talent pool.
Learning from successful examples is a wise practice, so we invited the Culture Experience Officer of First Federal Bank to help us learn about the Culture Program they started in 2013. You’ll get insights into how they navigated through the COVID-19 pandemic and what makes their culture work for their employees.
Companies must recognize the need for intentional efforts to cultivate a positive culture. Fruit baskets or beers on Fridays aren’t going to cut it anymore.
On this note, we invite you to participate in our Talent Trends Survey 2024. Our annual survey gathers insights on hiring, employee development, and retention experiences shared by professionals like you to uncover the changes and practices in the evolving talent landscape. This collective knowledge works as a valuable resource to optimize your company culture.
