The Omnia Insights #21
🛣️ Reflection, Goals, and Personal learning Plan
Happy 2022! Setting goals, usually in the early days of the new year, make us feel in control, doesn’t it? It motivates change, concentrates our focus, and instills a sense of discipline and structure in our daily routines. Once we set these goals, we move forward and rarely look back! And that can be a mistake. We need to reflect and assess our goals along the way.
A study by Harvard Business School students found call center employees who reflected on what they had learned from a course for 15 minutes performed 23% better on a written test than their colleagues who took the test without time for reflection.
Self-reflection grounds you. It sets the tone for the upcoming year and gives positive reinforcement to all that you accomplished. You might already know what you want to achieve by the end of 2022, but a regular practice of reflection and review gets you there.
In this issue, we show you how to self-reflect to achieve your goals and give you three simple rules for reaching your goals and a personal learning plan to accomplish them.
Earlier this month, we talked about how you can lead your team by switching from surviving to the thriving mode in our interactive webinar.
Having goals gets you into a cycle of continuous improvement while self-reflection helps you push the needle on the goals you want to accomplish by year end. See you next month!
