As we mentioned last week, The Omnia Group is celebrating its 40th anniversary! We’ll keep mentioning it for a little while, at least, because it’s a huge deal! That’s 40 years of leveraging the insights gained from the Omnia Behavioral Assessment to help clients both in our community and around the world hire right the first time, as well as motivate, develop, and engage their employees.
The behavioral assessment is a quick (ten minutes or less), powerful tool that is free from bias and requires no forced responses. It’s easy to administer, stress-free to complete, and the reports are crystal clear. Plus, it’s been scientifically validated three times, most recently in 2021-2022. The assessment results are used to generate our flagship product, the Omnia Custom Profile, which we’ll discuss next week in depth, in addition to a full suite of automated reports, called the Omnia Target Profile.
Instant Results, Numerous Applications
Since the Target Profile is automated, the reports can be available as soon as the candidate or employee has completed the assessment, allowing our clients to use the insights they receive right away!
Target Selection Profile
The Target Selection Profile is an in-depth, automated report that compares a candidate against a specified range of behavioral preferences. Target ranges can be developed by compiling the profiles of your top, proven performers, or it could be from our catalog of “off the shelf” industry standard job benchmarks.
When you have stellar performers and you want to hire more individuals just like them, you (with help from your Omnia customer success team) can use them as benchmarks for your Target selection ranges via a benchmark study. Simply have your top team members complete the quick assessment, and we’ll compile their results to create a comparison for new hires.
What if you’re hiring for a new position, you want to make a change in your hiring approach, or you’re just in a hurry to get started? Don’t worry! Omnia’s 40 years of experience in helping our clients hire has given us unique insights into what traits work best for a whole host of positions across a spectrum of industries.
Over the decades, Omnia has developed expertise in the Insurance, Finance, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Media, Real Estate, Automotive and Hospitality industries, to name a few. Our close work with our clients has allowed us to create a library of Industry Standard Targets for positions in these and many other industries. And we’re adding more all the time!
We also specialize in positions that are universally hired, including: leadership, sales, project management, customer service, administrative services, marketing, logistics, accounting, and more. If you’re hiring, we have a Target for you!
What You’ll Get
As soon as the candidate for selection has completed the assessment, you’ll receive an in-depth report containing:
- The candidate’s 8-column bar graph
- A compatibility rating and rating summary
- A detailed analysis of the candidate’s key traits and how they would play out within a specific role
- Strengths and weaknesses, and motivators and demotivators
- An overview of any existing stress factors and their potential impact on performance
- Communication preferences
- Level of detail orientation
- Management and coaching advice
- Behavioral interview questions tailored to the candidate and position
There are no right or wrong answers to the Omnia Assessment; the results simply reflect a person’s natural behavioral tendencies and preferences, and the Target Selection compatibility rating and report shows how well those preferences match what you need from a person in a given role.
What’s more, if you think a candidate is a good fit for your company or your culture, but you’re not sure where to place them, you can compare them to up to three positions at once!
What if you want to go in a different direction in the future? Each candidate’s Omnia Profile results can be compared to a new position in the future. This option helps take the nerves out of assessing an internal candidate for a transfer or promotion and also allows you to consider a candidate who was close but didn’t quite make the cut the first time.
Zeroing In: How can we help you narrow down your candidates when the first round of screens, assessments, and interviews still leaves the decision too close to call? Gain further insights into each of your candidates by upgrading their assessment results to an Omnia Custom Profile. This report digs deeper into how the candidate is likely to perform specific duties and fit in with your environment. It can also outline how they will work and communicate with team members and how they will respond to a supervisor or manager’s leadership style. Look for more in-depth information about the custom profile next week!
